Lília Lília is, along with Bia and Marie, singer and musician in Xaile. She's from the enchanted region of Trás-os-Montes (North of Portugal) and her path has always been connected with music, acting and dancing. As a little girl she joined a portuguese folclore dancing group lead by her father, learned ballet, modern and jazz dancing, walked her first steps in music and later in her life she has had the experience of working in television and theater as an actress and singer. Tradicional, Celtic and World Music are her favourite. In Xaile she sings and plays celtic harp, adufe and bombo, joining Bia (guitar, cavaquinho, adufe) and Marie (flutes, bagpipe and adufe) as well as Rufi and Johnny, producers and musicians, that complete the circle of the five elements that embroidered Xaile. Xaile is M.P.P., 'Música Planetária Portuguesa' (Planetary Portuguese Music), always connected with our tradicional routes around the world but also etno-cultural, original and contemporary. ‘While you dream that you are to become what you dream.' |
